The Mayan Cosmovision is an extensive and ancient 'way of seeing the cosmos'. Mayan priests and ceremonialists gained profound wisdom and connection with the universal model of creation by engaging in astral out-of-body journeys and serious ritual practice. On some very important events taking place on significant dates in their ceremonial calendar, they would drink Cacao to engage in more intense journeys or offer more potent prayers to Spirit in all its forms. Mayan spiritual practice involves 'counting the days' which basically means attuning ourselves to the sensitivity of this cycle of the 13 Codes (numbers) and 20 Nawales (Sun signs).
