The Mayan women's Cacao collective of Ruk'u'x Ulew offer a truly unique product; their harmonious Cacao is a real treat. In the spirit of unity and sweetness, they prepare this well-balanced chocolate in their family home in San Marcos la laguna, at the Atitlan Lake. The influence of this ancient power place, together with their gentle and warm energy, make for a product that feels very pleasant, while also representing the powerful and incisive quality that Cacao has.
Ruk'u'x Ulew source their Cacao from
Alta Verapaz , in the central areas of Guatemala. From here it is shipped to their workshop in
San Marcos la laguna. The women
cooperate in the
labor-intensive process of roasting, peeling, grinding and packing the beans to turn them into a
delicious and creamy Cacao paste. They truly honor the Cacao as the powerful medicine it is; they work with intention and have a ritual process with lots of love and gratitude. Ruk'u'x Ulew carries a
sweet vibration, and it's very suitable for celebration, expression, and creativity.
